STAMPIN UP WINE BOTTLE TAGS I'm not really much of a drinker. It would mean I certainly couldn't stick anything on straight! In fact it is something of a family joke that 1 glass of wine and I am as giddy as a hipper, so my daughter looked horrified when she saw me carrying 3 bottles of wine up to my craft room. She didn't say anything  till I said " don't worry they're only props for a photo shoot and then she just look relieved. Any way - this is what I used my props for - a wide selection of wine bottle gift tags. There are great and easy to make, use up lots of scrap paper and best of all they are not something you will find in a shop so have the advantage of really adding a personal touch to your gifts. Let me know if you would like the measurements - and I am even wondering if these should be a topic for my first ever tutorial. As always you can buy any of the products used here or other Stampin Up goods via my shop   http://www2.stampinup.co

Unique Blog Hop Welcome and today I'm taking part in the unique blog hop. I was invited to take part by my Stampin Up upline Zoe Tant  and you may have reached me from her blog, http://stampingscene.blogspot.co.uk/search?updated-max=2014-09-24T07:30:00%2B01:00&max-results=2 As part of the Unique blog hop I'll be answering the following questions 1. What am I working on? 2. How does my work differ from others of its genre? 3. Why do I write/create what I do? 4. How does your writing/creative process work? So what I am working on ? Well at the moment my craft desk is as clear as it gets because I have had a lot of visitors this weekend to celebrate a family birthday. So a fair bit of last week was spent cleaning and tidying. Now cleaning is not my favourite activity in any way and I'm not normally so very tidy, particularly when it come to crafting. So before the big clean up I was working on lots of little Christmas gifts for some upcoming fairs I will be d

Advent Calendar using Stampin Up Tiny Treat Boxes and 25 days stamp set. Well what can I say ?- sorry seems to be a good choice. I just can't believe that I haven't blogged since May. I have however been busy making things and enjoying the summer months. The allotment has done well and I've spent many hours picking fruit for my husband to eat it ALL in a few minutes. I've decided to get ready early for Christmas so here's my first make for the year - an advent calendar. It uses the tiny treat boxes and 25 days photopolymer stamp set from the Autumn/Winter catalogue. These boxes are fantastic value for money at £6.25 for 25 sturdy kraft boxes that measure about 5cm. I've almost finished my second advent calendar which has been made using some now retired stock of the mini milk carton die and an old alphabet/number die. Come back soon to see a picture. If you want to buy any of these items or just browse the catalogues here's a link to my store.

A few pretty things

Here are a few pretty thing that I have been making recently. Dress up framelits are so easy to turn into these pretty gifts/favours that hold an Avon lipbalm.  The avon colours and flavours matched so well with the Stampin Up colous as well. I think I'll be using these as gifts for my daughter's friends. and here is my business card holder. I've used a sizzix XL die for the window box and decorated it using stampin up punches and papers.

Angry Brids card in a box

Image
I'm rather addicted to making these card in a box cards and decided to combine this with one of my other favourites - punch art. I've thrown a new matching stamp and framelit set called Just Sayin and word bubbles into the mix .These are some of the latest fab products from the Spring and Summer Catalogue. Let me know what you think.

Here's a little something I made to share ay my Women's Institute meeting tonight as it's Valentine's Day.

Card in a box using retro fresh and watercolour wonder DSP and free Sale a bration stamps

Image
Here's a couple of cards I've made using the "card in a box" technique. It's not difficult but does take a while to get all your punchouts made. I haven't used my create a cupcake stamp set and matching punch in a long time and am wondering why not. It looks great in the new 2013-3015 in colours so I think I'll need to leave it out to make more things.   I am also really enjoying using 2 of the DSP packs from the new Spring/summer catalogue.   Happy Crafting everyone

Retro Fresh Wreath

Image
I've had a fairly busy week with an Open House and preparing for a class but have managed to fit some creative time in as well. I've made these wreaths using a polystyrene wreath ( £1 in the Wilkinsons sale - yay I love a bargain) and about 48 strips of 2cm x 20 cm paper cut from Retro fresh. This is a new paper in the Spring and Summer catalogue and it has matching washi tape, a this and that (smash) book and pocket cards. The colours and papers all co-ordinate so well together. The mini banner is made using the new banner punch which is one of the free choices with a £45 spend during the sale-a-bration promotion. Hope you like it - I've really enjoyed making this and have a black and cream one in modern medley on the go.   Happy Crafting

Spring/Summer Catalogue Sneak Peak

Image
I've made the wreath using a kit that will be in the new catalogue and designed a matching card and tag to form a class for Mother's Day. The cost will be £20 and it will run on 19th March - or other dates if there is enough interest. There are several new products in the set - the My Mother stamp set which has a really nice big greeting, the matching petite petals stamp set and punch. I really like how dainty these flowers are and think I will be using them as finishing touches on lots of projects. Happy Crafting everyone

Valentines/Love Class

Image
Look at this lovely box frame and card made using Stampin' UP! products. I'm running a class to make these on 31st January in Newcastle Under Lyme from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm and the cost is £15/ This includes the box frame and materials to complete the frame , make a card and a tag.  I'll have lots of Stampin'  UP! inks and stamps on hand so you can personalize your creation. What better for a Valentine's or other gift than one you have made with love yourself. I may be able to run this class on different days if you interested but the day/time is not convenient. Here are some close up photos plus a different box frame design that is also available to make. I've used the stamp set georgeous grunge for the card and matching frame background. This is one of my favourite sets at the moment as it allows you to add interest to your background without taking away from the focus of the frame.  If you want to keep in touch with me my facebook page is
