Happy Valentine's Day
 
 
 
Here's a CASE I have made from the spring/summer mini catalogue. I've loved using the Hearts a Flutter framelits and stamps and they will be ideal for lots of occasions as well as Valentine's Day.
 
Despite all my card making we're not very good at actually observing special dates ourselves. I may however give this one to Mike - it might make him feel a tad guilty for not getting me anything.
In fact we are quite shocking at remembering our wedding  anniversary - it's usually while we are on summer holiday so you're not really keeping a note of the date. Perhaps this year will be different as it's 20 years - I was hoing to re-do our honeymoon which was to West Coast America but it's a bit pricey with the children so perhaps it can wait until 25 years when they are older and won't want to come with us.
 
My evening isn't going to be very romantic either as it's a case of the usual Mum's taxi and then off to weight watcher's to see how I have done on my first week.

EMBOSSED BABY BEAR This is clearly my favourite stamp set at the moment and I have been trying out lots of different colour combinations and techniques. Here are the finished cards and underneath I have done a step by step photo guide - which is a first for me. The bear is stamped in smoky slate and dapper denim, sponged in marina mist.  Bear is stamped in soft suede and early espresso and sponged with peekaboo peach. Here are my supplies all laid out First I stamped image no 2 of the stamp set on whisper white in pink pirouette. Remember to use your piercing mat or other foam pad underneath any photopolymer stamp sets so you get a good image. Then I stamped image no 3 of the set with melon mambo. It does take a bit of practice to line the stamps up so practice a few times first on scrap paper. I find it best to make sure the bear's bottom and the gap between arms and body are lined up. Angry Brids card in a box

I'm rather addicted to making these card in a box cards and decided to combine this with one of my other favourites - punch art. I've thrown a new matching stamp and framelit set called Just Sayin and word bubbles into the mix .These are some of the latest fab products from the Spring and Summer Catalogue. Flower Pot Cards

This week we are making flower pot cards using the soon to retire daisy delight stamp set and matching punch To make the card you need  A4 cardstock a 4in x 6 in piece of co ordinating designer series paper Cut your cardstock to 11inch x 3 inch and score at 4 1/2 inches and 9 inches on the long side. Make a pretty border on the 2 inch section using either a punch or edging die. Mark 1/2 in in from the bottom of the cardstock on both sides and cut to the top of the card to make the flower pot shape Glue patterned paper to the front of your card and then trim. Stamp a greeting if required on the edge.  Then use tear and tape or glue to secure the plant pot edge down. Use tear and tape to join the card at the top Make the insert - a 5.5 inch x 3inch piece with a neutral layer measuring 5 1.4 inch x 2 3.4 inch on top, This will be decorated at the top
