STAMPIN UP CHRISTMAS MILK CARTONS

Image
So I'm really sorry I have been a very naughty blogger. But the good news is that I have been busy making things. SO here are a couple of pictures made using the Stampin' Up Mini Milk carton die and owl punch. The pictures don't really do this justice but there is lots of glitter on the roof and snow as I have applied dazzling diamonds using a 2 way glue pen. All of these products and more can be bought in my Stampin' Up! Store . In fact as a Christmas treat I will send all the materials needed to make these 2 boxes to anyone placing an order through me.   Happy Crafting Here is the link to my store http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/dawnhoward/

Stampin Up Punch Art cards

Image
PUNCH ART Here are a few of the samples that we will be making on Wednesday at the NSAAA (North Staffordshire Asperger's and Autism Society) craft evening.  I have taken my inspiration from all the wonderful designs on the internet. I really like the background to the angry bird card which is made using a sponge covered in blue ink and a little shimmer paint and sponged around a "cloud" which I have punched from the cupcake builder punch. The picture doesn't do it justice but the sky shimmers beautifully in real life.  Don't forget if any one wants to order Stampin Up products then I am rebating my commission to the NSAAA for any orders received between now and Thursday morning.  Hope you're all enjoying the wonderful weather on this bank holiday. I've already cleaned the car and later we're off out on the tandem for the first ride of the year. I bet at least 3 people will yell out " Oi mate - she's got her feet up at

Swallowtail Emboss resist

Image
I've just had a bit of time at the end of the day for crafting today. I spent the first part of the morning making some blueberry and sour cream mini loaves and fairy cakes as part of my local WI's, Let's Make Jam, bake sale and then spent a wonderful couple of hours with other ladies selling our wares. Now I always thought I was no slouch on the cake baking front but some of the other offerings were simply marvellous.  I hope to be the recipient of a cake tomorrow as it's my burthday and I could smell baking early in the afternoon. I think my daughter Anna has benn a busy girl. Bless her she also tried to "help" her brother cobble together a birthday card for me. She is not so patient and he is no crafter! He asked if he could make one exactly the same as I helped him make for his Dad last month. That involved 3 pennant punch flags and a sentiment. It was all wonky but as they say ... it's the thought that counts. So this is a fairly simple card using

All Dressed Up

Image
I've been busy playing with my new toys lately - the All Dressed Up stamp set and matching framelits from Stampin' UP. It all started with a card Anna needed for one of her friends - the birthday party was a meal out where everyone had to come smartly dressed. So I thought that the  phrase " all dressed up with somewhere to go" was really appropriate. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of that card but here are plenty of others I have made.

More Tea for Two ..and some cakes as well   Last Friday I was priviledged to host my Tea for Two class and around the table we had a set of very talented and crafty women. The class included Stampin' UPs designer series paper, Tea for Two and a selection of cardstock and ribbon and instructions for making several cards and a Tea Caddy. However everyone always likes to put their own twist on things and here is a picture of a georgeous pen pot created by the lovely Tracyann. It's for her daughters room and I hope it takes pride of place. It really shows how versatile the tea for two designer paper is as the look is completely different to my prototype.   We also had yummy cupcakes made by Rebecca from Dolly Train cakes .... well when I say we, I really mean everyone else - I'm on a diet and showed remarkable resilence in saying No. I hope the scales reward me.  Here's a couple of pictures to whet your appetities.   Happy crafting everyone!

Happy Valentine's Day       Here's a CASE I have made from the spring/summer mini catalogue. I've loved using the Hearts a Flutter framelits and stamps and they will be ideal for lots of occasions as well as Valentine's Day.   Despite all my card making we're not very good at actually observing special dates ourselves. I may however give this one to Mike - it might make him feel a tad guilty for not getting me anything. In fact we are quite shocking at remembering our wedding  anniversary - it's usually while we are on summer holiday so you're not really keeping a note of the date. Perhaps this year will be different as it's 20 years - I was hoing to re-do our honeymoon which was to West Coast America but it's a bit pricey with the children so perhaps it can wait until 25 years when they are older and won't want to come with us.   My evening isn't going to be very romantic either as it's a case of the usual Mu

I'm hoping to share this with lots of people and have a class planned including a tea caddy, cards plus lots of extra paper and card to take home. See my Classes page for more details. Here are the photos of my samples.
